Social Media Marketing and Blended Social Media Marketing

Students will explore the role of advertising within the field of marketing, and learn about current strategies and techniques. Students will address key advertising questions through projects and problem-based learning, covering various media platforms, including print, electronic, broadcast, and social media. Hands-on activities will include creating posters, email campaigns, videos, and social media content. Additionally, students will examine industry trends, ethical considerations, and the societal impact of advertising, gaining a well-rounded understanding of the field. The course culminates in a project where students develop a comprehensive advertising campaign for a local business, building a professional marketing portfolio. Students may earn a Social Media Marketing credential. Eligible for Dual Credit through COD.
