In the first semester of Software Engineering, students explore ethical implementations of technology, advanced data structures, software engineering tools and processes, and application development frameworks. During the second semester, students collaborate in teams with stakeholders in work-based learning experiences. Teams will apply a software engineering development process as they develop their software products. This is a blended course only to provide students the opportunity to leave campus to visit technical mentors at their workplaces, which might be necessary depending on the team’s software product.

This course satisfies the work-based learning experience for the diploma endorsement.
