Fashion Design offers a sequence of planned learning experiences that combine classroom instruction with hands-on laboratory work. Course content includes the study of textiles and fabrics, development of sewing skills, fabric construction techniques, proper use and care of sewing machines and equipment, and basic fitting techniques. This course provides a strong foundation for students interested in fashion, design, and related careers and serves as a complementary course to Fashion Merchandising. This weighted course is eligible for Dual Credit through COD.
