Have you ever wanted to design, create, and sell floral and potted arrangements as well as design gardens and landscaping? Students will design and create floral arrangements, potted plants, and landscape projects while applying foundational knowledge in the study of plant systems. Engage in hands-on activities, projects, and real-world problems that cover plant and flower identification, entrepreneurship, design principles, floral design techniques, and landscape construction. Learn how to market your creations and gain experience by selling floral arrangements and plants, and by completing landscaping projects for community organizations. This course provides valuable insights into careers in floral design, landscape design, greenhouse work, and horticulture. This weighted course is eligible for Dual Credit through COD.
