This course is open to any student interested in hobby and career opportunities in construction trades and woodworking. Basic instruction will be given in both hand tools and power tools. The student will learn to set up and adjust power equipment necessary to complete several projects in this course. These various projects guide students through lab and equipment safety, the engineering design process, and production technologies used in industry today. This course also covers a study on woods and occupations in the wood products industry. This course may have additional costs for selected projects and requires approved safety glasses with side shields. Course fee.
